New Leagues Forming!

The Lakers Soccer Club was founded in 1991 and initially fielded one team. The founders started small with the idea of bringing European Style soccer to the Midwest. Not only did they succeed in this goal but they coupled soccer with values. On the field the players value teamwork, positive attitude, determination, discipline and the will to succeed. These values are taught first in the Youth Development program and are carried on up through the U-19 program. Game-like drills, helpful instruction, continuous perfect practicing of the fundamentals of soccer are brought to each team by Wisconsin certified coaches. Off the field the club stresses the importance of family, school and community. Using the same values of discipline and determination the Lakers Soccer Club strongly supports outstanding work in the classroom as well as the community. The club realizes the most important part of any child's life is family and encourages parental involvement. With the involvement of parents, players and coaches, the Lakers Soccer Club demands a certain code of conduct. Parents will be supportive of all coaches and players using only positive comments. Players will respect coaches and teammates while promoting teamwork. Coaches will maintain discipline on the field and in the classroom and community. By promoting the values of the club while striving for the goal of creating the premier, competitive, soccer organization in the Midwest the Lakers Soccer Club now fields an incredible eight teams.

Development, U-8, U-9: The Youth Development Program concentrates on teaching the basic fundamentals of passing, dribbling, trapping along with the rules of the game. Players will learn the meaning of respect and discipline. The Youth Development programs is the foundation for the entire club and will be treated with the highest levels of responsibility and professionalism. This program is open to players nine and under. U-10 The U-10 soccer team focuses on strengthening fundamentals and refining skills learned at the developmental level. U-11 The U-11 team focuses on refining the skills learned at the earlier level. The team is introduced to more game like drills and instruction. Players move one step closer to creating a game strategy. U-12 The U-12 team begins playing with a strategy. They learn more about supporting players, overlapping, crisp passing and control. U-14 The U-14 team plays with complete game strategies and should be exhibiting competitive skills. This team is the final stepping stone to High School soccer and stresses skills needed to move to that level. U-15-U17 The U-15-U17 teams concentrate on developing a higher level of skill and strategy. These teams spend time at numerous tournaments across the Midwest learning something new from each one. U-19 The U-19 team is a team for those players that have either graduated from High School or are in their last two years and are looking for more development.
